Glucose
Play
Why we built this
VLC was powerful but cluttered. Every player we tried was designed for engineers, not viewers—toolbars everywhere, interfaces that distracted from the film.
What if a video player simply disappeared when you didn't need it? Designed for the viewer, not the interface.
Everything hidden by default—controls fade in on hover, fade out when idle. AI subtitles run locally, and it's just 4 MB. No fuss, just play.
"The best way to watch a film is to forget you're using a player. Glucose respects your time and your privacy."
What people say
"Oh, that looks cool! Thanks, man, exactly what I needed! 💪"
"Sounds like a powerful tool."
"Love its minimalism."
"Someone recommended me to try Glucose, it's a really powerful product. The AI-generated subtitles are really cool."
"Honestly been looking for a VLC alternative that doesn't look like it's from 2005. The AI subtitle feature caught my eye too, that's actually pretty useful. The UI looks clean. Love that it's open source, makes me way more comfortable trying it out :)"
"I'm hard of hearing, so the AI subtitles on Glucose have been really helpful."
